I personally believe that every committed dedicated climber should climb at least one big wall in their lives. And yes, that big wall would be El Cap. An ascent of the Nose or the Salathe Wall is a right of passage as a climber, and I have not met too many people who didn’t secretly harbor the desire to climb the Big Stone one day. As it turns out, the granite here in the Mt. Washington Valley is very similar to the rock in Yosemite and Cathedral and Cannon Cliff are ideal training ground for the climber with Yosemite aspirations.

As a seasoned big wall climber, I can take you through the entire process step by step. I learned to big wall climb through the process of trail and error, so my techniques are not things I’ve read out of a book. The methods I teach are the ones that I’ve found have worked the best for me. So whether you’re just looking to learn basic aid technique, or you’re prepping for a summer attempt on the Nose, I have the experience and the route knowledge to help you achieve your goals.
